Sanyo's Eneloop rechargeable batteries were rated the best rechargeable batteries on the market according to consumersearch.com. The following is the article from consumer search.
Frequently updated sites seem to have the best reviews of the Sanyo eneloop batteries. Australian battery expert Michael Hains puts them through exacting tests, and a contributor to the DPReview.com camera forum also tests eneloop batteries in comparison with other brands. The most detailed tests come from an aviation enthusiast, Stefan Vorkoetter, who compares the eneloop with standard NiMH rechargeable batteries.
Sanyo eneloop rechargeable batteries are recommended in more reviews than any other brand. They use a new hybrid technology that both gives them the advantages of rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries and lets them arrive pre-charged and ready to use. The eneloop batteries self-discharge extremely slowly in storage, so after six months they're still 90 percent charged. They're also extremely cost-effective, as they can be charged 1,000 times. However, some competitors have a higher capacity than the eneloop and thus may be a better choice for digital cameras, especially in high-use situations. Where longer camera runtime is more important than cost-efficiency, reviews recommend Energizer e2 Lithium batteries.(Batteries show in picture above, are all sold seperately)
